Why in 1948 did not get possession of the capital in full, but in the 6 day war we did it very easily?
Met logic of the Torah:
When the people of Israel came from the desert to the Promised Land, from the hand of Yehoshua Bin-Nun, terrain was randomly distributed to each tribe. Yerushalayim only missed out on the assignment as it would be the city for all alike.
In 1948 the attempt at conquest of Jerusalem were 3 armed Jewish groups individually and independently. Had no connection between them and the conquest of Jerusalem's most sacred part could have been a problem.
In contrast, in 1967 (War of the 6 days) was our military who, in a unified manner, entered the Old City of Jerusalem up to the Kotel Hamaaraví. This time it was a single army, for all the Jewish people. This time we were successful.
